The Poem!

Electricity can be such a fabulous thing -

A great source of energy that gives life more ZING!

It comes through the mains by a plug and a socket,

Or sometimes through batteries that fit in your pocket.

The mains gives us power straight out of the wall,

and helps the lights work so we don’t trip or fall.

Batteries are handy, of that there’s no doubt.

Their power, however, will quite soon run out!
